My husband and I are taking part in CREDIT SOLUTIONS. We have finally figured after two years, they’re a load of crap. Everything they do, we could have done for free. We have paid these guys thousands of dollars and they don’t even return phone calls.
Anyways, let’s get personal.
My husband makes about 56,000 a year – we have 34,000 in debt. No including our home. Just loans and junk.
I’m wondering about bankruptcy, we’re not making any headway in paying things off. We pay 500 just in health insurance a month! You know?! Child support, ect. We’re broke a lot.
If we were to file bankruptcy, how many years would it be before we could buy a home with a backyard? I heard that you can do it sooner than before now.
Any advice or tips???
My wife and i just filed for bankruptcy Chapter7 we did it our safe no lawyers will receive discharge in about three months so by doing a chapter7 all debt is gone you will need to reaffirm things you want to keep like cars and your home if you already have one make sure after discharge you make all loan payment on time….we went threw the same thing ur going threw we found if u pay off the creditor it stay on your credit anyway you still would have bad credit but with a Chapter 7 u still have bad credit but no debt and maybe a better chance of getting a home loan.

why file bankruptcy and be considered a thief — you contract for these goods/services now it is time to pay your bills and live up to your side of the contract — so downsize your life style and get rid of everything you do not need (wants can not stay) and become a proud person!!!

Before you file bankruptcy you should look at what you are spending and how it is that you got so much debt. You will not be able to bankrupt the child support, current or past due. Do you have a job? If you don’t you might want to look for one. If you have children of your own, then maybe you should look for an evening or night job, so that you don’t have to pay for child care. Then you can take that money and apply it to your debts.
If you choose to file bankruptcy, you will probably not be able to just get rid of that debt. You will be put into a payment plan. Then you will have to wait to rebuild your credit before you can qualify for a house. This will most likely take several years.

My advice is to call the Dave Ramsey radio show tomorrow. You can find the number at http://www.daveramsey.com.
He is great about showing folks in trouble how to get themselves straightened out. No tricks, lots of sacrifice, and some good tactics for dealing with creditors.
Good luck.
